"I could stay awake just to hear you breathing Watch you smile while you are sleeping While you're far away and dreaming I could spend my life in this sweet surrender I could stay lost in this moment forever Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure" ~Aerosmith

lukasisms
Lukas tries on a new hoodie sweatshirt and after checking himself out in the mirror, exclaims: "my face reminds me of someone, I just cannot remember who."

Lukas is now reading
What an exciting milestone for us - Lukas (5 yrs 5 months) is now reading simple books! He does really well with short words and his favorite books to read are Fox in Socks - a book of tongue tanglers by Dr. Seuss and Star Wars Phonics books.

Lukas just did his first double-digit subtraction!
Lukas (5 yrs 5 months), who is currently in Kindergarten, just did his first double digit subtraction. Using fingers only. I asked him about his book reading assignment- if he needed to read 18 books, and only read 9 so far, how many more books did he need to read? The incentive was that if he did it correctly, he could watch some toy review movies about Treasure X. He did it right, on his first try!!!

boys overheard
While on vacation in Myrtle Beach, Derrick overheard the boys talking.
Noah (~3,5): Lukas, can I tell you something?
Lukas (~5,2): Of course! We are twins, you can always tell me something.

the things that come out from kids' mouths... lol
Derrick and I went to pick up the boys from the daycare last night. On the way home we stopped by a pizza shop to pick up dinner. We pre-ordered and the shop offered curb pickup. So, we drive up, and a cute young girl brings out our pizza and wings. We sign the receipt when Lukas says: "I want to say something to the girl." So I roll down his window and out of nowhere he says: "I love you." Right away Noah adds: "and we have a bunk bed."

noah is turning 3!
Due to COVID-19, a.k.a. coronavirus, we had to cancel Noah's birthday party we had planned at Chuck-E-Cheese and instead, celebrated with family members virtually. Nevertheless, Noah had a great time!
Noah's birthday cupcakes were decorated with characters from Noah's favorite TV show "Fireman Sam".
Aunt Cynthia, Grandpa, Mociute, Aunt Debbie and Cousin Brianna, and Teta Rima joined us virtually using Facebook's Messenger app. Some even joined on eating their own ice cream!
At 3, Noah is fearless and does not let little failures to stop him from moving forward. I watched him over and over again attempting to do something silly but not give up. For example, jumping from a sofa onto a coffee table and falling down, getting hurt. He would cry or pout for a minute but then would stand up and do it again and proudly look at me when he would successfully accomplish his mission.
He is also an extremely sweet boy. Ever since he was a baby, he gave the sweetest hugs and now the sweetest kisses. He is kind and loving and is quick to apologize if he inadvertently hurt someone.
