IT'S A BOY!
"I could stay awake just to hear you breathing Watch you smile while you are sleeping While you're far away and dreaming I could spend my life in this sweet surrender I could stay lost in this moment forever Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure" ~Aerosmith

Pupa is making snow angels (Noah'isms)
This morning, Pupa - our dog - goes out and starts rolling in the snow.
Me: "What is Pupa doing there?"
Noah: "Maybe she is making a snow angel?"

sudoku
What a proud moment for us - Lukas (5,5) with some help from me, has solved his first sudoku! It took him less than 5 minutes to grasp the concept. Amazing!
The embarrassing part - and a lesson for me - was a reminder that I should never doubt my children and their abilities. Right before going to bed, he brings a game of sudoku to me saying that he wanted to play it. I explained to him that he may be too young to play this game and that it was a fairly complicated one. He persisted. Little did I know, after explaining it and showing how to figure out the placement of some of the numbers, he picked up and completed the rest!

shattering the sun
I take random notes all the time. To-do lists, reminder lists, boys' growth updates, something I hear on the radio or something I read. The problem with taking those notes is that I dont have an organized way to track, store or follow up on them. Then days, months and sometimes even years later, I find them. Not dated, no context, just a note about something.
Today I came across the below. I have no idea when it was written or who came up with it, but I thought it was cute and wanted to somehow preserve it.
On a hot sunny day, Lukas asked if he could go outside.
"Ma, can I go outside?"
"Yes, but first, let's put some sunscreen on."
...
Lukas went oustide. He wished he could just kick the sun!
That night, when he went to bed, he did just that. As soon as he closed his eyes and slowly drifted into the kindgdom of dreams, he found himself in front of the sun. He kicked it once. He kicked it twice. He kicked and kicked until the sun shattered into a million fuzzy balls. Those balls surrounded all the planets and it was now sunny all the time.
