(Lukas 4y 6m)
Yesterday, Lukas asked me what 'jealous' meant. I explained to him that it is when someone wants what they don't have but someone else does.
Today, as we were driving, I spotted a girl walking on a sidewalk wearing a nice pink coat. I told my boys: "awh, I like that coat. I wish I could have it." Without skipping a beat, Lukas said: "you are jealous mama".

At pickup from daycare, Lukas gets mad at me for one reason or another (could be a song choice on the radio, or me not bringing a snack, who knows)., starts shouting at me: "I am so mad at you, I am going to throw you into the ocean!" After a few seconds he adds: "I am going to turn you into a frog!"
Now, who is sitting next to him, starts saying something. Lukas turns to him and shouts: "I am going to turn you into a frog too!". Next, is Noah screaming: "NOOOOOO!!!! MAMA!!!! I DON'T WANT HIM TO TURN ME INTO A FROG!" Followed by us debating whether Lukas has the super powers needed to turn us into frogs.
💙 my boys, never a dull moment.

Lukas uses bidet for the first time, all on his own. He says: "mama, the toilet it wiping my butt. Really fast."

L: I need my helmet off.
Me: Then take it off.
L: I can't.
Me: Why not?
L: Because I am not a grown-up. I am a kid!
L: I can't.

Grandpa gave the boys their very first Bible for Christmas and we started reading it tonight. I asked Lukas if he knew who God was. He said "Yes". So I asked who he was. Lukas paused for a second and said: "the Man".
